| There
is little reason to apply maximum effort and
work as if we lived in a society guided by
the rules and ethics of a meritocracy.
Excellence is too often rewarded only following approval by unseen
monitors who verify that all PC guidelines have been satisfied. Only
following verification of PC guideline satisfaction will a person be
rewarded for his productivity. |
|
Often to a disproportionate extent individuals
are pushed or pulled ahead for irrelevant
reasons. These reasons include race,
gender, politics, and other floating PC
aspects. |
|
|
During the building of America,
meritocracy provided order and encouragement to competent, hard
working Americans. They made sure to get themselves educated,
trained, gain experience, and then apply themselves. They were
confident that their efforts and productivity would eventually
likely be rewarded with increased remuneration and responsibility. |
|
Meritocracy came under assault in the
early 1970s when affirmative action was mandated for all Americans
by the US Congress. Congressmen (no, not men/women) established
hiring, firing, and promotion rules for operation of all American
workplaces. Over decades these guidelines have been extended to
intrude into nearly all areas of American life. The omnipotent and
arrogant behavior of Congressmen allowed them to mandate invasive
and life-changing rules and guidelines, but exempt themselves. |

Meritocracy
has been replaced by dontcareocracy. Within this model, people who
have little concern for performing well and often have inadequate
skill levels realize that they will be given promotions and salary
increases regardless of their skills and productivity. They
understand that they will be pushed ahead and pulled upward often to
a greater degree than is warranted by their productivity. They
understand and demand that their racial, gender, and cultural characteristics
be given emphasis over their productivity and ability to work
well with others. These inadequately skilled and less productive
individuals have learned that within dontcareocracy they must be
rewarded simply for being themselves, ineffective, unproductive, and
as unconcerned as they want to be. |
|
As dontcareocracy emerged and replaced
meritocracy, it has misdirected the daily operations and overall
functions of businesses and cultural institutions. Dontcareocracy
emphasizes irrelevant criteria such as race, gender, and more
against cultural correctness
thereby ensuring that inappropriate and less well qualified
individuals will gain control. |
|
|
After decades of application of
dontcareocracy criteria our institutions are populated with inept
and incapable individuals who are overly empowered, arrogant, and
incompetent. |
|
Dontcareocracy
saunters along buoyed by mediocrity. |
