Driving Among You Jerks

  Go Ahead, Pass Me

Nowadays, during every minute of a drive anywhere, the driver and any passengers must be watching and fully alert for any and all other drivers to do something stupid.
Potential catastrophes are lurking along each roadway. The dangers are caused by idiots turning left from a right lane, or vice versa, morons failing to stop and pulling out from the right or left into your path, impatient-for-no-reason people speeding up from behind and tailgating, those aging racers veering in front of your car with no warning and way too close, and several other dangerous offenses.
This need to watch and be 100% alert all the time makes driving anywhere at anytime a non-enjoyable venture. Driving is not pleasurable anymore.
In the good old days just a few decades ago, a person could simply drive along alert, yet relaxed and enjoying his Sunday drive. Each driver had to always be alert and drive defensively, but the chance of needing to act quickly in an emergency fashion in a defensive manner was low.
Today that chance is high. That is why driving is not fun.
Go on, you in such a hurry. Accelerate through that red light, run that stop sign, speed along that quiet street and you may receive the pain or death you so richly deserve. Do you think you may be late in arriving at your destination for your trivial event then?
