Making It The Old Fashioned Way

  The Little Mrs.'s.

With her childhood dreams unattainable, Hillary, calculated that her success might best be realized by taking that old-fashioned, tried-and-true path -- marry a potentially successful dude.
Having failed to become an astronaut, athlete, doctor, or scientist, she turned to selling her herself into matrimony.
Speaking at a Purchase College symposium on the 1972 law that made sex discrimination in educational programs that receive federal funding illegal, Hillary said, "I tried everything. I ran every race, and if I was really lucky I finished second to last... I couldn't jump, I couldn't run, I couldn't swim."
Then, in quest of a career, she said, "So I wrote to NASA and said, "How do I sign up to be an astronaut?'... And they wrote back very politely and said, 'We don't take girls.'"
Then, proceeding down her list of potential careers, she thought of medicine. She reported, "I volunteered at the hospital but kept getting lightheaded and woozy when I saw anyone in any kind of distress".
Hillary also abandoned hopes of becoming a scientist or mathematician. Her grades in science and math were not adequate for those genuinely brainy careers for truly smart, analytical people. She validated the fact -- which most students know -- that, in the general case, girls are not as good as boys in math and science.
So Miss Hillary was stuck with a career path learned at her family's dinner table. She reports that, "We had the most lively, contentious dinner table conversations that probably anybody has endured." Mrs. Clinton recalled her family's mealtime public policy debates, saying "I thought, well, I do like to study what goes on in the world around me, I adore government as a subject in school, I'm very interested in politics and history. So I went to law school."
And now the American people are stuck with the product of that default career search. The American people are the victims of her her fifth choice -- to rule and lecture to Americans on how to live and what to not dare to do.
