| Jorge
Rodriguez, a union official who helped organize earlier rallies
said, "There will be 2 to 3 million people hitting the
streets in Los Angeles alone. We're going to close down Los Angeles,
Chicago, New York, Tucson, Phoenix, Fresno". |
| Rodriguez
added, "We want full amnesty, full legalization for anybody
who is here (illegally)... That is the
message that is going to be played out across the country on May 1."

| Protest
organizers vow that America's major cities will grind to a
halt. They promise that America's economy
will stagger as Latinos walk off their jobs and skip school. |
| Juan
Jose Gutierrez, director of the Latino Movement USA,
said, "This is going to be really big. We're going to have
millions of people... We are not concerned
at all. We believe it's possible for Congress to get the message
that the time to act is now." |
|
Supposedly they broke into the
United States to work, get educated, and participate in the American
dream. But they entered illegally. Now they demand that they be
handed US citizenship or they will shut down the US. These are
people who have broken laws and have little remorse. Their actions
verify that they are not worthy of even being permitted to stay in
America. They are here illegally. |
|
Having broken these laws, not
being sorry, and now disregarding the law, they demonstrate their
disrespect for America and Americans. |
|
Americans and American
institutions, including the United States Congress, will either
stand up for the United States and all that it stands for, or the US
will become just another lawless, failing, going nowhere banana
republic. |
|
Pause, Americans. It is
incomprehensible that illegal immigrants might conceivably be handed
citizenship. It is unbelievable that the US Congress could debate this
issue. America is being tested. How Americans handle this issue will
direct their future more than terrorism or global economics. |
|
Do Americans have any self
respect? Do Americans appreciate their privileges and rights? Do
Americans understand what it means to be a US citizen? Do Americans
have any respect for the United States of America? |
